Animas River Days uses the long Memorial Day weekend, May 28 to 31, 2026. The water events sit at Santa Rita Park and the Whitewater Park, 149 South Camino del Rio, where the river is close to the highway and easy to watch from the bank.
Thursday's kickoff is 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 2nd Deli, 601 East 2nd Avenue, not at the park. Saturday's slalom starts at 8:00 a.m. The river parade is the late-afternoon piece: viewing from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. along the bank.
