Through the holidays the railroad dresses a train for The Polar Express and runs it from the downtown depot. The ride is about 65 minutes, long enough to leave town and feel the canyon close in, short enough to be back for dinner.
It starts November 20, 2026 and keeps going through January 2, 2027. The depot is 479 Main Avenue, at the south end of the historic district, the same platform the Silverton train uses the rest of the year.
