Dalton Ranch
Animas Valley
Dalton Ranch sits on the floor of the Animas Valley, north of the city limits, with the red cliffs of the valley wall behind it. The golf club is at 589 County Road 252. The club describes its ground as roughly 250 to 270 acres. Houses and the Cottonwoods townhomes are platted around the course. Owning a house here is not the same thing as a club membership.
The club
The course is 18 holes and open to the public. Tee times can be booked no earlier than seven days out, at 970-247-8774. The golf shop is open every day from 7 in the morning to 7 at night. Members have a golf membership or a social membership with limited golf.
The clubhouse restaurant and bar are open Tuesday through Sunday, noon to 8. On Mondays the restaurant is closed and the bar is open noon to 6, with food at the snack shack. The club also rents the space for events.
Member amenities are pickleball, tennis, a members-only fitness center, locker rooms, and a seasonally heated outdoor pool with a snack shack. Rivergate Physical Therapy works on site.
