Edgemont Ranch is the older core of Edgemont, northeast of town on County Road 234, with streets such as Antero. The Edgemont Ranch Metropolitan District is based on that county road and also serves Edgemont Highlands and Edgemont Meadows.
District services
The district is a public agency run by five directors who own lots in the district and are elected by registered Colorado voters. It provides domestic water, sanitary sewer, and the construction, maintenance, and snow removal for roads inside the district. It operates its own water plant and wastewater plant.
The office is at 5972 County Road 234, Durango, CO 81301, phone 970-259-3102. The owner maintains the water line from the meter into the house, and the sewer line from the house to the collector. The district maintains the water line from the meter back to the main. Driveways must be a hard or stable surface, with a culvert of at least 12 inches, and they cannot drain onto the district road. Hydrants are not a water source for construction.
