Lizard Head – Telluride
Hike up through aspen and conifer forests, through meadows, sage bush and rocky ridges towards Lizard Head Peak.
Take in views of the surrounding San Miguel Mountain Range, including Mount Wilson (14,245-ft.), Gladstone Mountain (13,913-ft.) and Wilson Peak (14,017-ft.).

Getting there
Lizard Head Trailhead. Begin at Main Avenue and 9th Street, then go west on 9th Street, toward Camino Del Rio. Make a left onto Camino Del Rio/ Hwy 550. From Camino del Rio, take US-160 W about 27 miles to CO-184 W/N Main Street in Mancos; turn right. Follow CO-184 W for 17 miles, then turn right onto CO-145 N. Follow CO-145 N 48 miles to the Lizard Head Trailhead and Parking Area.
