From this popular trailhead, you can choose to complete the short day hike/bike loop into or to continue along the Colorado Trail.

Getting there
Colorado Trailhead at Junction Creek Dry Fork Trailhead To main trailhead: To access Junction Creek Trailhead, travel north on Highway 550 from Durango, turn left hand turn at 25th Street (by the Texaco). 25th Street will become Junction Creek Road and will wind through a subdivision and keep following to CR 204. At the three-way intersection, continue straight (left) and follow CR 204 until you cross a cattle guard and park your car in the Junction Creek parking lot to the left.
