Sky Steps
Durango’s SkySteps opened to the public in June 2017, creating a town to sky connect from Durango to the Fort Lewis College campus, home of the Skyhawks.
The stairway, which extends over 500 steps and gains over 250 feet in elevation along the Nature Trail in Durango, makes for a wonderful walking route, commute to the college or training steps right in town.

Getting there
Parking near East 10th Street. Begin at Main Avenue and 9th Street, then go east on 9th Street, toward Fort Lewis College mesa. Turn left hand turn on East 6th Avenue and find a place to park near East 6th Avenue and 10th Street. The Sky Steps begin at the Nature Trail on the corner of 6th Avenue and 10th Street.
