Log Chutes 1 is a difficult, 4.8-mile “lollipop-style loop” trail.
Log Chutes 1 is the first trail from the Log Chutes start of the trail and provides access to Log Chutes 2, Log Chutes 3 and Westview Loop.

Getting there
Parking at Log Chutes/Junction Creek Upper Trailhead. Begin at Main Avenue and 9th Street, then go west on 9th Street, toward Camino Del Rio. Make a right onto Camino Del Rio (Highway 550/ N. Main Avenue) Keep following North Main Avenue/Camino Del Rio; turn left onto West. 25th Street. West 25th Street turns slightly right and becomes Junction Creek Road. At a three-way intersection, stay left on Junction Creek Road, and continue right, past the dirt parking spot for the Lower Colorado Trail. The road becomes dirt here. After 1 mile on this road you will see a second dirt parking spot for Log Chutes.
