Roaring Fork Trail
An out-and-back into the Hermosa Creek wilderness. Durango Trails lists 8.4 miles one way, which is the 16.8-mile round trip in the hike description.
This 16.8 mile there and back trail leads to stunning views of the Hermosa Creek Wilderness. You may not see anyone else while on your adventure, but please still anticipate dogs off leash.

Getting there
Roaring Fork Road Parking Heading South on Main Street, go west (right) on US 160 for 27.2 miles, then turn right on CO 184 for Dolores. Follow for 17.4 miles, then at the T turn right onto CO 145. Follow for 29.4 miles and turn right onto Rd 345 where you will see the parking spot a short ways up the road.
